Hello fellow homo sapiens ! Today, I will be continuing on with swatching more Revlon Balm Stains :) Hooray! The shade I am writing about today is Rendezvous. It saddens me that most people can't pronounce that word. It really saddens me... Enough grief and let's move on to the good stuff.
Rendezvous is an a toned down orange. Yes, that's the only way I could possibly explain this. It's not so bright but it's also not so muted down. I really like the color and I feel that it definitely suits my skin tone and it doesn't make me look silly because I find that some orange lipsticks make me look a bit clownish.
It wasn't until I took this lip swatch when I noticed that this specific shade has some shimmer in it ! I even had to double check by look at the color in the tube! I did not know there was shimmer at all. The shimmer is orange which is pretty cool.
|(L-R): Revlon Just Bitten Balm Stain in Romantic, Revlon Colorburst Lipgloss in Papaya, Revlon Colorburst Lip Butter in Tutti Fruti, Revlon Just Bitten Balm Stain in Rendezvous, Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick in Siren, Rimmel Lipstick in Crush|
Romantic is more on the red side, Papaya is different in consistency and it's a touch more coral. Tutti Frutti was the shade I thought of when I bought Rendezvous, they look very similar. Tutti Frutti is a tad bit lighter and it looks very different on the lips, more sheer. Siren is darker but if sheered out to the right amount, they can look the same. Crush is lighter and a bit more of a yellow tone than a true orange tone.
Overall, I recommend this. Especially if you are an orange lip lover. I'm not a fan of orange lips but I do love this color. And the stain it gives me is just a delight. It make me look like a just ate a big stick. At least that's how my lips usually looks. This shade would look amazing on all skin tones and especially if you have a tan going on. Gorgeous !
Until Next Time,
P.S. OMG! OMG! I just thought of something so cool. Wouldn't be so cool if we could narrate our blog posts? As in, do voice overs of them? Yes, that would be so cool!
